Today we explored parallel and perpendicular lines and how their slopes relate.

1st Block: XYV GHL 3rd Block: JPW LDD 4th Block: JED JPP For these coming weeks, we are going digital! Tune in every weekday at 11:00 AM and then at 2:00 PM for a lesson from Unit 5: Coordinate Geometry:)
Oglesby Remind: text @3hek79 to 81010 General Geometry Remind: text @geometryrx to 81010 Use the email from ClassDojo.com Student instructions: 1. Open ClassDojo app or website: dojo.me 2. Click "Enter Text Code", OR tap "I'm a student" on the app 3. Enter the text code to sign in Today we reviewed for our test tomorrow. Attached is the review key!
Today we looked at cross-sections of 3-dimensional objects as well as created 3D objects from rotating 2D objects. Our test is on Friday!
Today we added and subtracted volumes of composite figures to find the total volume. We also reviewed for our quiz tomorrow.
Practice p. 36-37 Homework p. 38-39 On Monday we found the volume of pyramids, cones, and spheres by taking a third of the volume of prisms and cylinders.
Practice p. 31-33 Homework p. 34-35 Video Representation of Volume in Pyramids and Cones www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2wenAIf0H8 Proving Algebraically Why Pyramid Volume is a third of Prism Volume www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6nUNTfiK5Y&t=30s Today we took our quiz and then began the second half of this unit. We found that the volume of prisms and cylinders is simply the area of one base extended for some height to the other base!
